According to The Sports Network, the Kings waived guard/forward Desmond Mason on Thursday.
Our View: Mason signed a one-year deal with the Kings in September and has averaged just 2.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in his five games this season. He missed most of last year due to injury, and the Kings just didn't have enough reasons to keep the 31-year-old around.
