Chauncey Billups scored 28 points and dished out 10 assists as the Nuggets defended home court with a 104-94 win over the Rockets on Sunday. He shot 9-for-18 and hit four treys as Carmelo Anthony was only able to play 13 minutes.Billups has been incredible in back-to-back nights and his value on Denver seems much higher than it was on Detroit.

The AP reports that the Nuggets lost Carmelo Anthony in the second quarter after he aggravated a sore right elbow thatÂ’s been bothering him for two weeks. Anthony scored just two points, halting his NBA-best streak of consecutive games in double figures at 221.The injury does not seem serious at this point, but you'll obviously want to monitor the situation closely. Anthony's scoring average (21.1) this season is his lowest of his career but his 8.7 rebounds are a career-high by a good margin.

Analysis: It was Anthony's sixth double-double in his last nine games. The bad news is the points and boards were about the extent of his contribution as he only netted one steal and turned the ball over four times. Anthony also continues to shoot poorly as he hit on just 9-of-23 FGs (0-of-3 3pt) and 7-of-9 FTs.
