Boozer tired of Utah, taxes
Carlos Boozer does not envision any scenario in which he will be playing for the Jazz in 2009-10, according to the Deseret News.
Our View: We agree, Carlos, we agree. In a charming interview on a Miami radio station, Boozer did list his favorite landing spot as the South Florida city, and also complained about having to pay taxes (Boozer is scheduled to make over $12 million next season). Utah seems to have as little desire to have him around as he has to be there, but there have been no clear indications of where they might send him. Stay tuned.

When asked on Monday whether he could see himself playing with the Jazz next season, Carlos Boozer replied, "Umm, no." Boozer went on to say that the Jazz are "in control" when it comes to trading him, and he isn't pressuring them to trade him to Miami or anywhere else. [...]

News: The latest trade rumor regarding Boozer is that the Knicks will sign restricted forward, David Lee, and trade him to the Jazz for Boozer, the Deseret News reports, while Bulls point guard, Derrick Rose, has made comments regarding his excitement for Boozer to potential be traded to the Bulls, although at this time unlikley. [...]
Boozer on Knicks' radar?
There is speculation swirling that the Knicks could sign restricted free agent David Lee, and then deal him to Utah in exchange for Carlos Boozer, according to the Deseret News.
Our View: Lee is frustrated that New York did not reward him with a new long-term deal after setting new highs in scoring and rebounding last season. The Knicks and Jazz would be swapping marquee forwards if a trade goes down involving Lee and Boozer. The Heat are also very interested in reeling in Boozer.
The Rockets, who were rumored to be in dicussions of a three-team
The Rockets, who were rumored to be in dicussions of a three-team trade involving Carlos Boozer, have no interest in the big man. The rumored three-team trade with the Rockets, Jazz and Bulls would have sent Boozer to Chicago, Kyrylo Fesenko to Houston, and Shane Battier and Carl Landry to Utah, although the Rockets say they never had interest in Boozer. [...]
Rockets deny interest in Boozer
The Rockets are denying interest in Carlos Boozer, according to the Deseret News.
Our View: The Heat remain high on acquiring Boozer though. Miami is also interested in Lamar Odom, and they would potentially have one of the best frontcourts in the NBA if they manage to reel in both forwards.
Boozer wants to come to Miami
News: The Miami Herald reports that Carlos Boozer wants to join the Miami Heat. "We first came here for tax reasons and fell in love with it," Boozer said. "We love the palm trees, the laid-back attitude, the sun, quality of life. It's like paradise here, and I would love to be part of the Heat. They're a very good team, and I'm real close to some of the guys. Dwyane [Wade] and I started to get close at the Athens Olympics in 2004, and I'd love to play on his team. Plus, I already live here. I'm just waiting to see what happens." [...]

Boozer wants to play in Miami
Carlos Boozer has stated that Miami is far and away the No. 1 most-desired destination he'd like to land at, according to the Miami Herald.
Our View: There are a bunch of rumors surrounding a possible deal that would ship Boozer from the Jazz to the Heat, and Boozer's desire to play alongside Dwayne Wade can't hurt the likelihood of a deal actually going down. Boozer would make the vault the Heat up into a legit contender in the East alongside Boston, Orlando and Cleveland.

Millsap would like to be in Jazz starting five
The recently re-signed Paul Millsap says he would like to start for the Jazz this season, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.
Our View: With the likely departure of Carlos Boozer, there is a good possibility his wish will be granted. The quickly developing Millsap is a candidate to average a double-double this season, and should be drafted in the mid-rounds in every format.
Boozer likely done with Jazz
News: The Utah Jazz will match the Portland Trail Blazers' offer sheet to restricted free agent Paul Millsap, a person with knowledge of the negotiations told CBSSports.com senior writer Ken Berger. The offer, said to be at four years for $32 million, lays the groundwork for the Jazz to trade forward Carlos Boozer. [...]

If Pat Riley Pulls off Lamar Odom and Carlos Boozer …
Miami Heat: Pat Riley is trying to pull off a minor miracle in an effort to keep Dwyane Wade in South Beach for longer than next season - Riles is pushing hard to land Lamar Odom (offer: 5 years, $34 million), who teammed with Wade in Miami a few years ago, and Carlos Boozer (via
Heat, Jazz, Grizzlies talking trade
According to the Deseret News, the Jazz are working on a three-way deal that would send forward Carlos Boozer to Miami in exchange for Udonis Haslem and Dorell Wright. The Jazz would then send Wright's $2.8 million salary to Memphis.
Our View: These talks are still in the preliminary stages, but it looks like the Heat are serious about bringing in some talent to put around Dwayne Wade. The Jazz want to move Boozer, so we will keep you updated on any happenings regarding this proposed deal.

Boozer won't be back in Utah
The Deseret News is reporting that the Jazz have told Carlos Boozer that they plan to trade him sometime in the near future. Boozer told a radio station in Chicago that "I had a talk with the Jazz. The Jazz told me they want to go in a different direction and I respect their decision. We mutually agreed to work out a trade that was beneficial for them and beneficial for my family and me. So with that being said, I'm gonna be traded relatively soon or in good time."
Our View: The Jazz won't move Boozer for nothing, so they still have to find a partner that is willing to give something up to get him. Boozer is a solid NBA talent, and the Jazz should be able to find an interested party fairly easily, although the fact that they Boozer told everyone he is going to be traded doesn't give the Jazz much leverage.

Knicks interested in Boozer?
According to the New York Post, the Knicks are very interested in Carlos Boozer. The team is in talks with Utah and Chicago in a three-way deal that would involve Boozer and Chicago guard Kirk Hinrich.
Our View: These talks are very preliminary, so don't expect it to go down any time soon. The Knicks are still negotiating with David Lee, but if they can't the talks with Boozer should intensify. We will keep you updated on this situation.

Six Months After Boozer Said He’d Opt-Out … the Jazz Tell Him They’ll Opt Out
Carlos Boozer: The Jazz have told him he’s not in their long-term plans, which leads us to assume there’s no way that Utah won’t match Portland’s offer to Paul Millsap. They put out an APB for capologists, and should get their energetic PF back early this week. Moving Boozer? That could prove difficult, as a
Boozer to Heat a possibility
Carlos Boozer could be headed to the Miami Heat in a trade, according to the Deseret News.
Our View: The Jazz are clearly tired of Boozer, and the Heat have emerged as the latest potential trading partner. Other reports still say it is likely he could be traded to the Bulls for Kirk Hinrich. Either way, it's clear he probably won't be in Utah this season.
