Al Thornton got hot and hit 12-of-17 shots for a season-high 30 points to go along with four boards and an assist in Tuesday's loss. Thornton has been playing very well in the absence of Eric Gordon and is worth a fantasy start until Gordon returns, which could still be another week away. [...]

Al Thornton scored a game-high 30 points in Tuesday's 110-102 loss to the Hornets.
Our View: Thornton hit 12-of-17 shots from the field and was good for four rebounds, an assist and a steal in the game. The 30 points were easily a season high and he has now totaled 50 points in his last two games. Owners can't be sure where the sudden scoring burst has come from, but we don't expect anyone is complaining.
