The Associated Press reports Kansas City Royals SP Zack Greinke improved to 10-3 on the season Sunday, June 28, after allowing two earned runs over 6 1/3 innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Greinke allowed seven hits while striking out three in the game. Greinke became the American LeagueÂ’s fourth 10-game winner and lowered his ERA to a major-league leading 1.95.

News: Zack Greinke didn't allow a run until making his final pitch before a rain delay in the seventh inning, and the Kansas City Royals kept the Pittsburgh Pirates from sweeping an interleague series for the first time since 2001 by winning 3-2 on Sunday. Greinke (10-3) gave up seven hits in 6 1/3 innings ahead of the 59-minute delay. Analysis: With Sunday's win, Greinke finally snapped a nearly two-month stretch in which he was unable to notch a win in consecutive starts since his early-season 6-0 run. Greinke suffered through a rough stretch in mid-June in which he got pounded to the tune of a 5.86 ERA, but the young righty has rebounded with a pair of strong outings. He'll look for win No. 11 on July 3 when he's next slated to hurl against the White Sox.

Zack Greinke notched win number ten on Sunday as the Royals downed the Pirates 3-2. Greinke went 6.1 innings and allowed two runs on seven hits while striking out three.
Our View: Greinke hasn't been quite as dominating lately as he was early in the season, but he has still been very good. He is 10-3 on the year, and he should continue to pile up the wins as the season goes on. With his prodcution slipping a bit, if you can trade him for a king's ransom it might be a good idea, but it should be an offer you can't refuse.
