Petit went 3-10 with a 5.82 ERA and a 74/34 K/BB ratio over 23 games (17 starts) for the D-backs in 2009. Given his lack of overpowering heat, the 24-year-old will need to improve his 3.41 BB/9 rate in order to stick in the bigs.
