Willy Taveras has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right quadriceps, according to MLB.com's Mark Sheldon.
Our View: Drew Stubbs has been called up to take his spot on the roster. Taveras has 25 steals this season, but is batting just .238, and shouldn't be missed too much in most leagues, especially since his injury is a leg injury, which could make it harder for him to run at 100 percent when he returns.

Mark Sheldon, of MLB.com, reports the Cincinnati Reds placed OF Willy Taveras (quadriceps) on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday, Aug. 19, with a strained left quadriceps muscle. He is hitting just .238 with one home run, 15 RBIs, 25 steals and a .273 on-base percentage.

Reds | Stubbs expected to be recalled
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the Cincinnati Reds are expected to recall OF Drew Stubbs Wednesday, Aug. 19. There is speculation that he will replace OF Willy Taveras (quadriceps). Stubbs is hitting .268 in 411 at-bats with Triple-A Louisville this season. He also leads the International League with 46 stolen bases.

Drew Stubbs has been called up from Triple-A Louisville and will bat leadoff for the club against the Giants tonight, according to MLB.com's Mark Sheldon.
Our View: The move was likely made since Willy Taveras pulled up lame with a quadriceps injury on Tuesday. Stubbs was hitting just .268 in 411 at-bats in the minors, and isn't a great candidate to add in any format.
