Martinez, who’s batting .284 with 15 home runs and 67 RBIs, should see his value increase with more opportunities to pile up RBIs and runs in the stronger Boston lineup. The losers here are Mike Lowell and Jason Varitek, who both figure to see their at-bats cut down in favor of Martinez. In Cleveland, top prospect Carlos Santana will likely be recalled to help fill in behind the plate, making him someone to grab in AL-only formats. Masterson also figures to gain value as he goes from swingman in the Boston ‘pen to full-time starter in Cleveland. Hagadone and Price are promising prospects, but they’re both a few years away from reaching the Majors.
