News: The St. Pete Times is reporting on Sunday that Rays RP Troy Percival may not be retiring after all. Percival met with manager Joe Maddon and said he was going back to California in effort to work to get his arm healthy again. He could work his way back and pitch sometime this season. "He's going to continue to work on trying to get the feeling back in his arm, right shoulder down through the bicep area to his elbow," Maddon said. "We're just on hold." [...]

Troy Percival told reporters Tuesday that he is retired "unless something miraculous happens." "There's no need going out when you can't throw more than once in four days," said Percival. "I know that I really can't go out there and do it." He tried to throw off a mound about a month ago, but the post-workout soreness was too much for the 40-year-old to handle.
