Trevor Hoffman induced a game-ending double play on his first pitch against the Mets on Monday and earned his 18th save.
Analysis: Nothing like an outing against the Mets skeleton-crew offense to get things back in line. Hoffman was hit hard in his last outing, but escaped with the win after a Brewers comeback. In this one, he needed just one pitch to close things out. They should all be this easy.
