Our View: Hanson only struck out one on Saturday, but other than that had a fine fantasy outing. Three of his four starts in July have been quality ones and he's making a case for Rookie of the Year honors.

Hanson wasn't at his best here, and registered just one strikeout, but there's something reassuring about the fact that he can pitch this well -- against a very good offense -- when he's feeling under the weather and not blessed with his usual deadly stuff. No, the loss isn't anything to cheer about (it never is), but Hanson looks more like an ace -- on the field and in fantasy -- with every start. His next turn comes on July 31, when he'll face the Dodgers in Atlanta.

Analysis: Tough luck for Hanson, whose scoreless inning streak stopped at 27 but whose dominance since being called up in early June continued apace. The kid is good, and if his strikeout numbers aren't as impressive in Atlanta as they were at Triple-A Gwinnett, he's still looking every bit the fantasy ace owners were hoping for when they drafted and stashed him for the first two months of the season.
