Gorzelanny, who spent his first four years and change with the Pirates, was dealt to Chicago at the Trade Deadline. Manager Lou Piniella has already said that he expects the 27-year-old southpaw to be in the 2010 rotation, which should go a long ways toward substantiating his potential given the depth of arms the Cubs have entering next season.

I dont like this trade. We gave away the type of player i like in harrison, a mostly good singles hitter. These big boppers fail too often in the clutch. Speed is what i like and the cubs never have good speeders and good fielders with good arms. And what did we get? Grabow, who doesnt have good control, an absolute must for a relief pitchers. which makes him a run of the mill pitcher. Look at Marmol who has great stuff but it is negated because he is wild What is Hendry thinking of?
