The Associated Press reports Seattle Mariners SP Ryan Rowland-Smith went 6 2/3 innings, allowing one run and six hits Saturday, Oct. 3, against the Texas Rangers. He walked two and struck out four in a 2-1 victory.

Rowland-Smith turned in another quality start after missing his mark in his last two starts. He gave the mariners five straight quality outings from Aug. 25 - Sept. 16, so Saturday's effort was more of what he had been giving the M's until his two starts from Sept. 22-27. He ends the year with a 3.74 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and 52 strikeouts in 96 1/3 innings.
