News: The Sports Xchange reports that Pirates manager John Russell said Friday night that the Pirates will go to a six-man rotation in September. That coincides with the major league roster limit expanding from 25 to 40 on Monday. Russell would not say who would be added to the rotation because the Pirates don't plan to announce their September call-ups until after the minor league season ends Monday. However, the most logical candidate is Triple-A right-hander Ross Ohlendorf, one of three pitchers acquired in a six-player trade with the New York Yankees on July 27. Ohlendorf has gone 3-3 with a 3.24 ERA in six starts for Indianapolis. [...]
