The Associated Press reports Toronto Blue Jays SP Ricky Romero allowed four runs on 10 hits in six innings to the Seattle Mariners to get his ninth win of the season Monday, July 27.

Romero has come back to earth somewhat after the seven-start
Romero has come back to earth somewhat after the seven-start June/July stretch in which he posted a 5-1 record and 2.22 ERA and struck out 45 over 48 2/3 innings. The good news is that his record doesn't really reflect it -- despite allowing 22 baserunners in his last 11 1/3 innings, Romero is riding a two-game winning streak. Fantasy owners would love to see the old Romero, but they'll be happy to see the new, lucky Romero when he takes the mound in Oakland on August 2.
