Mike Burns outpitched Johan Santana on Tuesday night, allowing two earned runs on five hits and one walk with two strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings to even his record at 1-1.
Analysis: Burns, who joined the rotation after Manny Parra was sent down and fellow starter Dave Bush was placed on the disabled list, picked up his first win of the year after tossing six economical innings against a depleted Mets lineup on Tuesday. While there's no telling how much longer he'll stick around Milwaukee's rotation, owners looking to stream starts might want to throw him out there when he next takes the mound on July 5 against the Cubs.
