Matt Cain lasted just five innings in his final regular season start on Saturday. He allowed two runs on six hits and a walk and struck out five in the 2-0 loss to the Padres.
Our View: Cain fell to 14-8 with the loss and has now lost four of his last five decisions. He was a Cy Young candidate before he imploded in September with a 5.22 ERA.
