Despite rumors that the club might move him to attain a power hitter, Matt Cain isn't going anywhere, according to The Mercury News. "Matty, at 23, pitched like a Cy Young at times," GM Brian Sabean said "I don't think it'll take trading Matt Cain to get something done."The Giants were tempted to move Tim Lincecum last off-season for a hitter (Alex Rios) and also resisted the urge to add a bat that way. Cain had his second straight solid season (3.76 ERA, 186 K) despite a poor record (8-14), and he appears to still have the full support of the Giants front office.
