News: Kansas City SP Luke Hochevar dropped Wednesday's decision against the Cleveland Indians. Hochevar fell to 6-7 on the year as he allowed four runs -- three earned -- on eight hits over 6 1/3 innings. He walked two and struck out six in the loss. His ERA is up to 5.52 on the year. [...]

Luke Hochevar gave up four runs (three earned) on eight hits over 6.1 innings in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Indians at Kauffman Stadium. He had two walks and six strikeouts.
Our View: Hochevar now has a losing record at 6-7, with a 5.52 ERA. He is winless over his five starts in August, but is actually pitching a little bit better right now.

Matt LaPorta helped lead the Indians in Wednesday's 4-2 win at Kansas City, as he went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo homer off Luke Hochevar.
Our View: LaPorta has a hit in each of his seven games in August, with five RBI over that span. The rookie should continue to see regular playing time in Cleveland while hitting well.
