The Kansas City Star reports that left-hander Lenny DiNardo refused an assignment to Triple-A Omaha and has opted for free agency.
Our View: A stud in the minors last season, DiNardo was brutalized while pitching for the Royals. He held an embarrassing 10.13 ERA and 2.63 WHIP over five starts, so don't expect anyone to give the 30-year-old a shot in their rotation. Some team will likely pick him up in hopes that they can turn him into a lefty specialist.
