The Cardinals have publicly denied that they have any interest in trading Kyle Lohse, but sources have told ESPN's Jayson Stark that the Cards would be willing to part with the righty for the right package.Lohse has been the Cards' best starter this season, but he's a Boras client and almost surely won't re-sign with the team this offseason. Still, it's a bit of a surprise that St. Louis would be willing to deal him given that they're tied for the NL Wild Card.

ESPN.com's Jayson Stark reports officials of two teams that spoke with the St. Louis Cardinals said the Cards have been offering to deal SP Kyle Lohse if they can get the right package in return. The Cardinals have been looking for both a bat and a bullpen arm. And apparently, they concluded they didn't have the prospects to get both.
