It appears all but certain that Griffey will enter free agency for the first time in his career. The 38-year-old slugger took a significant step backwards this past season, combining to hit just .249 with 18 home runs and 71 RBI between the Reds and White Sox. Those kinds of numbers might make potential suitors wary about handing him a starting job.
