More of the same from De La Rosa, who’s allowed just two earned runs and racked up 20 punchouts over his last two outings, spanning 13 1/3 innings. Forgetting about a bad day vs. the Phillies on Aug. 5, the young fireballer has surrendered no more than two earned runs in any of his other five starts since the All-Star break. While his 4.58 ERA could certainly use some work, it’s tough to argue with his nasty 9.28 K/9 mark. Owners should throw De La Rosa with confidence when he gets the nod again on Aug. 22 vs. a Giants team he’s already beaten once this year.
