There's been a lot to like about Sanchez, aside from his no-hit effort on July 10. Since that performance, the right-hander is 5-4 with a 3.85 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP and 98 strikeouts in 84 2/3 innings. Despite having just eight wins on the yea, Sanchez has delivered solid fantasy value with his 9.8 K/9 rate. There might not be a starter who delivers more strikeouts for his overall price than Sanchez.

Jonathan Sanchez allowed two runs on three hits and four walks over 5.1 innings on Sunday. He fanned three, but did not earn a decision as the Giants topped the Padres 4-3 in ten innings.
Our View: Sanchez has had an up and down season that included a no hitter and a demotion to the bullpen, to cover both ends of the spectrum. He pitched much better in the second half after rejoining the rotation, but walks have been a problem all year. He gave out 88 free passes in 2009.
