Right-hander Collin Balester will be called up from Triple-A Columbus to make his first major league start Tuesday, this according to the Washington Times. The report notes that it will be an extended audition much like John Lannan received last year. Balester is filling in for the injured Shawn Hill.Balester, a fourth-round pick in 2004, is frequently touted as one of the best of the Nationals' young pitching prospects. Bowden said the team has set a maximum number of innings it will allow Balester to throw this year like it did with Lannan last season but would not reveal what the number is.
