John Danks, pitching on three days rest, dominated the Twins with eight shutout innings in the Sox 1-0 victory over Minnesota in Game 163 to qualify for the playoffs.Danks held the Twins to two hits in his 12th victory of the season as he lowered his ERA to 3.32, the fifth best mark in the American League. Danks had a rough second half with a 5-5 record and a 4.26 ERA, but overall the 2008 season was a tremendous effort for a hurler who went 6-13 with a 5.50 ERA as a rookie last season.
