MLB.com is reporting that injured Red Sox' first baseman Jeff Bailey has resumed baseball activities but will still be out for another week to ten days. Bailey has been on the DL since earlier this month with a high ankle sprain.
Our View: It sounds like Bailey is close to a return, although with the acquisition of Adam LaRoche he will likely return to Triple-A. If Bailey does stay on the big club, he will be a bench bat and nothing more, but it seems more likely that he will get sent down.
