Tyler Walker has been recalled by the Phillies from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, according to the Associated Press. J.C. Romero was placed on the DL as the adjoining move.

Our View: The 33-year-old reliever holds a career 4.39 ERA, but has a 1.64 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over 11 innings with the Phillies in 2009. He is worth a look for deeper fantasy leagues that feature middle men.

Our View: The lefty reliever holds a 2.87 ERA over 20 appearances, and will be missed in the Phillies' bullpen while on the shelf. His fantasy value was limited though.

J.C. Romero (elbow surgery) said Saturday that he intends to be at full strength for the start of spring training next season. "My goal is to be ready to go when spring training starts," said the lefty, "although I may go a little slower because I don't want to get ahead of myself." It's a tough proposition. Romero underwent elbow surgery just one week ago and was given a recovery time of five-to-six months. Factor in a few setbacks, and it seems doubtful he'll be able to reach his goal.
