Status: Out. Doubtful for Opening Day
J.C. Romero (elbow) threw a successful round of batting practice on Wednesday morning. It's a significant sign of progress in his recovery from October elbow surgery. Romero is still doubtful for Opening Day, but it sure sounds like he'll be ready to roar by mid-April. The left-hander had a 2.70 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 16 2/3 innings last year for the Phillies.
