Huston Street walked one and struck out one in a scoreless ninth against Oakland on Saturday, and picked up his 18th save.

Analysis: It took Street 63 appearances to earn 18 saves in 2008, but only 35 to get there in '09. Whatever has helped Street turn things around -- change of scenery, a move to a different spot on the pitching rubber, take your pick -- he really has turned things around. He's 18-for-19 in save situations this year, and has a 1.59 ERA in 23 appearances in May and June.

FoxSports.com is reporting that the Yankees' have expressed interest in Rockies' reliever Huston Street. Street has been very successful as the Rockies' closer, but the Yankees need bullpen help and could look to trade for him before the deadline.

Our View: With the Rockies' getting hot all of a sudden, it seems unlikely that they would be willing to trade Street this early. If they Yanks want him that bad, they may have to wait until the end of July to get him. Since the team is looking for help now, it seems more likely that they go after someone else to be their new setup man. This could be something to keep an eye on for Street owners, however, as a move to the Yankees would significantly hurt his fantasy value.

Pitching for the fourth consecutive game on Thursday, Huston Street gave up a three-run home run to Milwaukee's Ryan Braun in the ninth inning of the Rockies 5-4 victory. Only one of those runs was earned however, and he still managed to earn his 12th save of the season.

Our View: After a terrible start in 2009, Street has been excellent, allowing only two home runs and two earned runs since May 4. He has become a solid option at closer in any format.

Huston Street (shoulder) will throw live batting practice on Friday. Street threw a 20-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday morning without incident. He'll rest for two days before facing live hitters. "Sunday went extremely well, probably better than expected as far as my location," said Street. "Today was even better. Today there was actually some jump to the ball, which is just a sign everything’s kind of letting loose and the body’s taking back over. Today played out as a best-case scenario for what we expected. We wanted to push the envelope effort-wise."
