News: From The Sports Xchange notes: Oakland has many young pitchers that draw raves, but there's always been a bit of an extra buzz about Henry A. Rodriguez. That is because Rodriguez, 22, throws 100 mph, a radar gun reading he hit several times Monday night in his major-league debut. However, Rodriguez had issues with his location, which is the primary reason he hasn't been called up before now. He walked one, hit a batter, threw two wild pitches and was late covering first base, costing second baseman Eric Patterson an error. He allowed two runs, one earned, in an inning. "Obviously you can see talent there, but he has a way to go from what I saw (Monday night)," Oakland manager Bob Geren said. "You don't see the scoreboard go to triple digits very often, but he's got to work on his command." [...]
