Our View: Grady will continue to hit and throw on Saturday and Sunday, but the rehab comes with an ultimatum. If he feels fine after the weekend workouts he'll return to the Indians' lineup a few days later. So that would be two months total spent on the DL for Sizemore, who has never been on the DL previously in his career. Obviously, it's a scenario the Indians hope to avoid. Anthony Castrovince, of MLB.com, reports Cleveland Indians OF Grady Sizemore (elbow) may still need to undergo surgery on his elbow even though an MRI showed no structural damage. Sizemore is hoping to avoid surgery but if the inflammation in his elbow does not calm down, he will need surgery. Sizemore would miss four to six weeks if he needs the surgery, according to trainer Lonnie Soloff. Soloff said Sizmore likely will miss closer to six weeks if he has surgery.

Indians OF Grady Sizemore could be on the disabled list longer than his allotted 15 days since his tender left elbow may require arthroscopic surgery the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Our View: The surgery would require Sizemore to miss four to six weeks, which is more bad news for the injury ravaged Indians and Sizemore fantasy owners. Hopefully the elbow heals on its own and he can avoid going under the knife.

Grady Sizemore is near 100 percent rehabilitated from elbow and hernia surgery. The center-fielder is working out at the Indians' spring complex and should have no restrictions entering spring training. Sizemore battled injuries all year, finishing with a .788 OPS, his worst in full-time play. His line plus the injuries will ensure he drops down draft boards for 2010: don't let him get past you.
