Analysis: Washington expressed that he wants to see Francisco to pitch back-to-back games before making him the full-time closer again. He lost the role to Wilson after going on the 15-day disabled list June 14 with a strained right shoulder and Wilson has impressed enough to give Washington the confidence to use either reliever in a save situation. This means Wilson should still be regarded as a handy reliever to own until Francisco is deemed fully healthy.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting that the Rangers have optioned pitcher Guillermo Moscoso to Triple-A Oklahoma City. This move was made to make room for the activation of closer Frank Francisco.
Our View: Moscoso has been back and forth between the majors and minors several times this season, so no big shocker here. He will have no fantasy value until he can stay on the ML roster, and even then his value will be limited.

Our View: Manager Ron Washington told the media that Fancisco will not serve as the closer for Saturday's game, and the Rangers are expected to ease him back into the role. Francisco owners should get him activated in the next few days, but it wouldn't be a terrible idea to give him a few more days.

The move is retroactive to June 4, so Francisco would be eligible to return June 19, but it's unlikely that he will be ready by then. After rushing his return last time, the Rangers want him to make at least one or two appearances on a medical rehabilitation assignment at Double-A Frisco before they activate him again. Francisco has 12 saves in as many chances this season and a 0.46 ERA over 19 2/3 innings, so owners should stash him on a bench or DL slot for now. In the meantime, C.J. Wilson will likely get the bulk of Texas’ save opportunities. He’s converted six of seven chances this season and should be useful to owners in need of saves despite his shaky peripherals (17 K, 12 BB in 25 innings).

Our View: Shoulder tightness in pitchers is usually a bad sign, but the Rangers aren't showing much concern. Earlier in the season, the team waited over a week before placing Francisco on the DL, but this looks like a different situation.
