"I think I am making too many mistakes every game," Liriano said. "I am trying the best I can, I am just not pitching well enough and have to try harder. I tried to calm down and make some pitches, but sometimes it just gets in my head." Manager Ron Gardenhire said Liriano's struggles have come from him overthrowing and trying to do too much, especially once there are runners on base.

Our View: Liriano didn't have the good stuff today, but his defense didn't help his cause much either. He has been wildly inconsistent, and his fantasy value is very limited right now.
