David Price was considerably better on Sunday than his last start as he picked up his second win of the season against the Marlins. Price went 6.1 innings and allowed one run on two hits while walking five and striking out four. The Rays won the game 5-2.

Our View: Price rebounded nicely after his 10 run peformance earlier this week. He is still young, and he will have bad outings, but his talent is just too great to dismiss. He should be utilized in all leagues, and if he can get the walks down he can be a dominant fantasy force.

Analysis: David Price rebounded from his worst outing of the season, when he got his bell rung by the Phillies to the tune of 10 runs (five earned), with a fine effort on Sunday to post his first victory since May 30. The only negative aspect of Sunday's performance was the troubling five free passes that Price handed out, making it the fourth time in seven starts that the talented southpaw has walked more than five batters in a game. Price will look to keep the momentum going July 4 against a hard-hitting Rangers offense.

The Phillies scored 10 runs while Price was in the game, but only five of them were earned -- three big errors made the others possible. While the defensive miscues obviously didn't help, the bigger worry for fantasy owners is Price's recent struggles with the long ball, as he's now allowed four homers in his last two starts. In general, Price has been something of a disappointment this season -- generally unable to work deep in games, terribly inconsistent and maddeningly walk-prone (he has allowed 20 in 30 1/3 innings). In short, he's pitching very much like a 23-year-old rookie. The Rays are being patient with the hugely talented lefty, and fantasy owners should, too. That said, it couldn't hurt to spot him until he puts together a few good starts. His next turn comes on June 28, when he'll face the Marlins in Tampa.

Our View: This has to be seen as a positive step forward despite the loss. It was by far his longest outing, and he didn't walk anyone. In his first four starts, he had walked 18 hitters in 19 innings. His strikeout rate fell some, but the Rays will gladly accept fewer strikeouts if it means no free passes.

Our View: Price was pretty good today when he kept the ball in the zone, but five walks in 5.2 innings is too high. He was lucky to work out of it for the most part, and his line was by no means bad today. The sky is the limit for Price, and the more he pitches at this level the better he will get. He should be a very good play in all leagues going forward.

He's allowed only four earned runs in 14 2/3 innings in his first three starts, but there has been one glaring chink in his armor: a pair of five-walk efforts. The lack of command on Saturday led to a 107-pitch performance in which only 53 pitches met the strike zone. Price will have to show better efficiency to maintain his 2.45 ERA. Still, look to start him against an impatient Angels lineup at home on June 11.
