Hanley drives in a run in loss

Source (fanball.com) (SP - tba) | 0 comments.

Hanley Ramirez went 1-for-4 with an RBI on Sunday in the Marlins' 5-2 loss to the Rays. Ramirez is now hitting .333 on the year.

Our View: The Marlins' offense was stifled by Rays' starter David Price today, but Hanley still managed to drive in a run. While he isn't performing up to his fantasy draft position due to injuries, he is still very good in all aspects of the game.

Price is right in Rays' win on Sunday

Source (fanball.com) (SP - tba) | 0 comments.

David Price was considerably better on Sunday than his last start as he picked up his second win of the season against the Marlins. Price went 6.1 innings and allowed one run on two hits while walking five and striking out four. The Rays won the game 5-2.

Our View: Price rebounded nicely after his 10 run peformance earlier this week. He is still young, and he will have bad outings, but his talent is just too great to dismiss. He should be utilized in all leagues, and if he can get the walks down he can be a dominant fantasy force.

David Price picked up his second win of the year on Sunday,

Source (mlb.com) (P - tba) | 0 comments.

David Price picked up his second win of the year on Sunday, giving up one earned run on two hits and five walks with four strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings against the Marlins.

Analysis: David Price rebounded from his worst outing of the season, when he got his bell rung by the Phillies to the tune of 10 runs (five earned), with a fine effort on Sunday to post his first victory since May 30. The only negative aspect of Sunday's performance was the troubling five free passes that Price handed out, making it the fourth time in seven starts that the talented southpaw has walked more than five batters in a game. Price will look to keep the momentum going July 4 against a hard-hitting Rangers offense.
