According to the Kansas City Star, Royals' outfielder David DeJesus missed his fifth straight game on Tuesday due to the flu. The team expects DeJesus to return to the team for their final series of the season against the Twins this weekend.

Our View: DeJesus is reportedly feeling better, but there is no need for the team to rush him back this late in the season. Expect him to return to the lineup in the next few days, and for sure by this weekend.

David DeJesus (flu) returned to the Royals' clubhouse Friday but may be too weak to contribute. DeJesus missed six straight games. "I’m feeling better," he said, "but I lost seven pounds in a matter of days. I didn’t eat from Thursday (September 24) to Sunday. Now I don’t even feel like the same person."
