However, the platoon was nixed after it began creating what Yost described as a "mental issue," as he stated "It was kind of getting to both of them a little bit. I just think that it's better to do it this way." With the move, McClung slides back into the bullpen, where he made all 14 of his appearances last season.

Status: Out. Done for season?
Dave Bush (triceps) will likely be shut down for the season. He will probably skip his start on Saturday. "It's been a challenge," Bush said. "What you don't want to do is go out and do something stupid on Saturday and get myself in a position where it could affect me beyond that." Bush spent two months on the disabled list earlier this season with the triceps injury. Carlos Villanueva is one option to make Saturday's start.
