Dave Bush was rocked for five earned runs on seven hits over a mere four innings in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Reds at Miller Park. He also allowed three walks with three strikeouts.
Our View: Bush had a poor outing, but left with a no-decision as his teammates bailed him out with strong offensive support. He ended May with a 2-1 mark and 4.30 ERA over six starts.

Another performance for Bush, who's fallen to an old habit this year -- the long ball. The two homers he permitted on Saturday represented the sixth ballgame in a row in which the opposition has taken him deep. It's also the third time during that streak that he's allowed multiple home runs. He might be in for another tough time on June 4 when he goes against a powerful Marlins lineup at Land Shark Stadium.

Status: Out. Done for season?
Dave Bush (triceps) will likely be shut down for the season. He will probably skip his start on Saturday. "It's been a challenge," Bush said. "What you don't want to do is go out and do something stupid on Saturday and get myself in a position where it could affect me beyond that." Bush spent two months on the disabled list earlier this season with the triceps injury. Carlos Villanueva is one option to make Saturday's start.
