News: The Reds acquired minor league infielder Drew Sutton from Houston to complete the trade that sent shortstop Jeff Keppinger to the Astros during spring training. The trade was completed Thursday, and the 25-year-old Sutton will report to Triple-A Louisville. The Reds also outrighted infielder Danny Richar to Louisville to open a spot for Sutton on the 40-man roster. Sutton batted .317 with 20 homers and 69 RBI for Houston's Double-A team last season. Keppinger was traded for a player to be named after hitting .140 during spring training. [...]

Status: D.L.. Out for the season
Reds transferred infielder Danny Richar to the 60-day disabled list. Richar underwent season-ending surgery on his left shoulder in late July. He's expected to be at full strength by the starting of spring training.
