Our View: Haren has not been very good in three of his last four starts, and he was victimized by a powerful Phillies' lineup tonight. It may be time to be a bit concerned that Haren isn't the dominating force he was for most of the season, but he still has the stuff to dominate every time out.

Our View: Willingham has been a pleasant surprise this season, and it's shocking that his bat wasn't added by a contender at the trade deadline. He's hitting .309 with 46 RBI to go along with his 18 bombs.

Dan Haren got lit up by the Washington Nationals of all teams on Saturday. He allowed five runs on seven hits over six innings and was handed his seventh loss of the season after a 5-2 defeat.

Our View: Haren, arguably baseball's best pitcher this season, had a rare off night. He's now allowed five runs in each of his last two starts after being virtually flawless all season. His ERA jumped from 2.19 to 2.57. Don't let that scare you though, he's a safe bet to rebound.

Haren gave up 12 homers over his first 19 starts, but he's been tagged for five long balls in his last four appearances. He's notorious for his second half struggles -- he has a career 4.17 ERA after the All-Star break as opposed to a 3.08 mark before -- and it seems '09 isn't turning out any different than the past couple years. It would seem to reason that his impending Aug. 14 start against a powerful Dodgers squad at Chase Field could lead to another substandard outing.
