The Associated Press reports Chicago White Sox SP D.J. Carrasco gave up nine hits and five runs in four innings for a no-decision against the New York Yankees Friday, July 31. It was his first start since September of 2005.

Our View: He ends the night with a no-decision, and should be happy he avoided a loss for his terrible performance. He does not merit fantasy consideration for his next trip to the hill.

Status: Out. Out for the season?
D.J. Carrasco may miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury. He's been an important innings eater in the Chicago bullpen, but this injury shouldn't cause much of a ripple in fantasy leagues. If he's done for the season, the 32-year-old finishes 2009 with a 3.76 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 62/29 K/BB ratio in 93 1/3 innings.
