News: RHP Craig Hansen (neck spasms) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 20, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on June 3. He played catch May 3 for the first time since getting hurt, and he threw off a mound May 15. He then suffered a right shoulder injury in extended spring training and was shut down. On Aug. 4, he was diagnosed with a nerve disorder, and he will miss the rest of the season. [...]

Craig Hansen (neck) received good news in a check-up last week. Hansen, out since April with a nerve issue that caused spasms in his neck, finally got a positive report. The problematic nerve has moved closer to the muscle in his neck that needs to be strengthened. Although Hansen is doubtful to be ready for spring training, he could return at some point next season.
