Volstad hadn't been planning on starting Sunday, but his number was called when Josh Johnson was scratched due to flu-like symptoms. He still ended up increasing his ERA four points to 5.21, which is a number that makes him a cautionary play in just about any format. It's unclear if he'll get another start this season.

Volstad is a young stud on a young team who is coming into his own this year. By 2009's end he may be considered the best SP , not only on his own team, but excluding J.S. the best in the division.
