Updating a previous report, Blue Jays' beat writer Jordan Bastian is reporting on his Twitter page that Yankees' starter Chien-Ming Wang left the game with a right shoulder strain. He is set to undergo an MRI later today.

Our View: So the injury is a shoulder strain, but we will know more after the MRI results come back. It's not looking great for Wang at this point, but stay tuned for more updates.

Chien-Ming Wang left Saturday's start against the Blue Jays in the sixth inning with an apparent injury to his right midsection. He allowed four earned runs on six hits and a walk over 5 1/3 innings.

Analysis: Wang served up a two-run homer to Adam Lind in the inning, giving the Blue Jays a 4-3 lead, and threw one pitch to Scott Rolen before catcher Jorge Posada saw something in Wang's delivery and trotted out to the mound. Upon reaching Wang, Posada gestured to the bench, calling out manager Joe Girardi and assistant trainer Steve Donohue. Wang walked off the field without assistance, and should be considered day-to-day until further notice, but this is still kind of scary for owners considering Wang's hip issues and the struggles they caused for him early in the season.

Our View: Wang has been a disaster for the Yankees this season. He's 1-6 with a 10.06 ERA and has spent time on the DL, but the Phillies and Rangers are still in the race in their respective divisions and are desperate for pitching help.
