The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Carlos Zambrano has apologized to MLB for his outburst in Wednesday's game. Zambrano was suspended six by the league after his tirade yesterday.
Our View: Zambrano wants to move on, but his performance in the tirade yesterday was pretty intense. He will serve his suspension and pay the fine, but his actions will live forever on YouTube.

SI.com is reporting that Carlos Zambrano has been suspended six games and fined $3,000 for his actions Wednesday in the Cubs' win over the Pirates.
Our View: No surprise here as it was expected that Big Z would get suspended. The sort of surprising thing is that the bumping of the umpire does not seem to be the reason he was suspended, but instead it was his over-the-top antics after his ejection. He will miss one start, so fantasy owners keep that in mind going forward.

Zambrano is likely facing a suspension for his actions. "I apologize for that. Like I said, I should have more control of myself in that situation. News: Cubs ace Carlos Zambrano threw a baseball into left field and slammed his glove against the dugout fence after he was ejected from Wednesday's game against the Pirates. With Nyjer Morgan at third and the Cubs leading 2-1 in the seventh inning, Zambrano's wild pitch just got away from catcher Geovany Soto. Zambrano covered the plate for Soto's throw, Morgan slid and umpire Mark Carlson ruled him safe. Zambrano jumped up and argued and was ejected after he appeared to nudge Carlson. Zambrano then pointed in Carlson's face and gave him the ejection sign. But the Cubs' emotional right-hander wasn't finished. He fired a ball into left, tossed his glove and took a bat to a dugout cooler before heading to the clubhouse. "I overexaggerated after that play to throw the ball and to do the other things, you know," Zambrano said. "Hopefully MLB will review the play and we'll see what happens." [...]
