Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi, of FOXSports.com, report San Francisco Giants C Buster Posey is not ready to catch in the majors, according to a scout that has watched him in the Arizona Fall League. "He needs to play (in the minors)," the scout said. "He doesn't throw real well. And he has trouble catching velocity. If he has to catch (Matt) Cain or (Tim) Lincecum or Brian Wilson in the ninth, he'll struggle."

Wilson ended the year with four saves in his final five outings, leading him to accumulate 79 saves in the last two years. The difference between this year and last is that while he became a risky option in '08 due to his high pitching averages (4.62 ERA, 1.44 WHIP), the right-hander became far more dependable with a 2.74 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP in '09.
