Shouse to miss time, will not need surgery

The St. Petersburg Times is reporting that Brian Shouse has a slight tear in his flexor muscle. He is expected to be out for a while, but he should not need surgery.
Our View: This is kind of a good news/bad news situation for Shouse and the Rays. He should miss a good chunk of time, but anytime a pitcher can avoid surgery on his elbow it is a good thing. The timetable for his return is unknown at this point.

The St. Petersburg Times reports Tampa Bay Rays RP Brian Shouse's (elbow) MRI revealed a slight tear of the flexor muscle in his elbow. Shouse will be out for an extended amount of time, but surgery will not be needed.
