News: The Minnesota Twins have put third baseman Matt Tolbert on the disabled list with a strained a left oblique muscle. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said on Saturday that Tolbert was injured on a check swing during a second-inning at-bat of Game 2 of the American League division series against the New York Yankees. Tolbert remained in the game Friday night and hit what should have been an RBI single with two outs in the fourth inning, but baserunner Carlos Gomez was tagged out before Delmon Young could score. Brendan Harris, who will start at third base in Game 3, pinch hit for Tolbert in the sixth inning. Gardenhire said Tolbert will be replaced on the roster by Brian Buscher. [...]

Brian Buscher has been placed on the Twins' postseason roster after the injury to Matt Tolbert, according to ED Price of Fanhouse.com. Buscher will serve as corner infield depth for the team.
Our View: Buscher hit only .235 with two homers and 12 RBI in 136 at-bats with the Twins durng the regular season, so he doesn't figure to jump into a starting role for the team in the postseason. Anyone in a fantasy playoff league should not concern themself with Buscher.

The Minnesota Twins have removed infielder Matt Tolbert from their playoff roster due to his oblique injury, according to Fanhouse.com's Ed Price. Brian Buscher has been summoned to replace Tolbert on the roster.
Our View: You hate to see anyone get hurt, especially in the postseason. Tolbert was replaced by Brenden Harris last night, and Harris figures to be in the lineup when the Twins try to stay alive against the Yanks in Game 3.
