Bobby Jenks threw his fourth scoreless inning of the season on Wednesday as the White Sox beat the Brewers 6-2. He allowed a hit, walked another batter, and struck out one.
Our View: Jenks is nowhere near the strikeout machine he once was, but he has developed into a pretty impressive pitcher. He boasts a high ground ball rate and rarely allows a home run despite pitching in a homer-friendly stadium. In fact, he has allowed only five home runs in his 126.2 innings pitched.

Bobby Jenks is unhappy with the team's comments about his conditioning. "Honestly, I've given it a lot of thought these last couple of weeks," said Jenks during a chat with MLB.com over the weekend. "The actions of the last two weeks ... am I unhappy with them? Yes. Anyone in my situation would feel the same way, but I want to be part of the White Sox 100 percent." Jenks was responding to comments made by manager Ozzie Guillen and pitching coach Don Cooper during the final week of the season. The 28-year-old closer posted a 3.71 ERA and 29 saves while suffering through kidney stones and back problems. He finally went down for the season with a pulled calf muscle on September 17. Jenks is arbitration-eligible this winter, but there has been increased chatter about him as a trade candidate.
