Aroldis Chapman is slated to audition for the Red Sox at Fenway Park on Wednesday, according to Kiley McDaniel's (Baseball Prospectus) twitter page. He will throw a pen session, weather permitting.

Our View: The Red Sox are the latest club to garner interest in the Cuban hurler. The Mets also like Chapman, but he is believed to be out of their price range. He reportedly wants up to $60MM to sign.

The Detroit Tigers have throw their hats in the ring for the services of Cuban pitcher Aroldis Chapman, according to SI.com. The Tigers have contacted Chapman's people about setting up a meeting later this week or early next week.

Our View: Everyone wants a piece of Chapman, but it looks like there will only be a few teams with deep enough pockets to get him signed. The Tigers obviously feel like they can get it done, but they are still behind teams like the Yankees and Red Sox in the Chapman sweepstakes.

Our View: Chapman, widely considered to be the greatest left-handed pitching prospect of all time, would not confirm a specific itinerary, but it is expected that he will visit with Yankees and Red Sox executives. There will undoubtedly be many more suitors than that though, as any team with a cushy payroll is likely to get involved to some degree. Expect the Dodgers, Angels, Mets and possibly even the Giants to reach out to the 21-year-old southpaw. There could be a vicious bidding war this winter.
